Our thoughts on 2021’s Autumn Makeup Trends

With the beginning of autumn comes the arrival of new makeup trends and we are here to discuss our thoughts, feelings, and opinions…

Don’t get me wrong… We will nevr get enough of Summer serving us all the beautiful minimal and Glowy looks, but autumn is here and it’s time to start getting creative with heavier makeup.

Trend #1 – Bold Lipsticks

By far our favourite trend that never fails to make an appearance when autumn strikes is the return of bold lipstick. My personal favourite is when it’s paired with a very simple cat eye…

It’s not just a new trend either. We definitely believe this timeless look will be around long-term and cannot wait to apply this on our clients.

Trend #2 – Intense black liner:

This autumn we can expect to see the continuation of the return of intense black eyeliner. It’s definitely a fresh take on the ‘smokey eye’ look and we are big fans. This has been heavily influenced by social media as seen on lily rose depp, olivia neil, and many more.

These have once again taken inspiration from the past, in particular the early 2000s.
We personally think the elements of Grunge fashion and rebellion are empowering and are a bold way of embracing femininity. We cannot wait to see more.

Trend #3 – Natural brows:

Not often a brow trend makes such a long term impact on the beauty industry, but thick fluffy brows have taken the world by storm.

I remember the initial reaction towards their uprising was very conflicted as it used to be out of people’s comfort zones, but now the world can’t get enough and neither can we. We don’t see this trend dying down anytime soon.

Trend #4 – Dark lip liner with gloss:

This look of wearing a darker liner with a clear lighter gloss is very hit or miss.
It can be so stunning  although not very practical… I don’t believe it would be very long-lasting meaning you may have to continuously apply throughout wearing it. However, this can be easily fixed by carrying the products around in your bag.

Trend #5 – Graphic liner:

Graphic Liner looks are so eccentric yet so beautiful. I can definitely see some inspiration being taken from Euphoria which showcased their makeup looks.

I could go on and on about the impact that show has had on the way we all do our makeup now… It gave life again to using bright colours and unconventional liner designs. Our opinions on this are all positive, let ur eyes do the talking and give graphic liner a try.

So… what do you think ? Will you be giving any of these looks a go? Do you love them? Hate them? Let us know!
